To get an idea, here’s an overhead shot I took of Devil’s Punch Bowl last September between low and high tide. The sunlight from my previous photo was coming in through that center hole. We entered from the shadowy area to the right.
During low tide, we got to walk right inside of Devil’s Punch Bowl. This is the side view that is inaccessible during high tide. You can see the sunlight streaming in through the front where the waves crash in, down in the bottom right. Nature is amazing.

The past 4 days:
Thursday: I married the new Mrs. Stowell
Friday: drove to the Oregon Coast and stayed at the amazing Inn At Otter Crest (pictured above on the right). Watched the sunset, enjoyed life.
Saturday: explored tidal pools, walked inside of Devil’s Punchbowl, saw a whale, an otter, a great blue heron, a bunch of seals, starfish, & Jenni pet some sea anemones.
Sunday: Pirate Coffee, drove home, Stumptown Coffee, Saint Cupcake, Portland City Grill.
Being married rules. Wanna see some more beach photos tomorrow?
