I only have 7 days off between tours, so expect lots of record posts! I’ve been on tour for the past 4-5 Record Store Days, so I make my Dad do my bidding for me. He hits up some shops back in my hometown (Charlottesville, VA) that are less trafficked than those here in Portland and almost always finds all of the things I need. Thankfully this year’s list was short. But this was first and foremost. Gotta satisfy the Jack White fanaticism. It just arrived in the mail an hour ago. Along with the Pornography 7” (also have to satisfy the Ryan Adams fanboy) & Tift Merritt’s Markings 12”. Side 1 of Elephant had some weird mix issues on “There’s No Home For You Here”, but the rest was awesome.
Apologies for the watermark. Unless you’re a a lazy eBay reseller.

Glaciers | And The Sea Won The Battle (Remaster) | Clear with Blue swirl /220
I’ve been avoiding buying multiples of albums I already own, but Glaciers (from San Francisco) went and remastered their gorgeous debut album so I caved and picked one up. For fans of instrumental music/post rock. I love the bass on this record. You can stream it on their Bandcamp. AND they’ve got a new record coming out very soon!

Drive: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack | Mondo Records | Pink | /???
I already have one pressing of this, done by Invada Records in the UK. But Mondo promised a “deluxe” edition featuring custom artwork by Tyler Stout. So of course I’m a sucker a ponied up. The pressing was split between an unknown amount of copies on black and a smaller unknown amount of pink. The pink copies being randomly put into mailorder copies. Imagine how stoked I was to get home from tour this morning and open this baby up. Those center labels kick so much ass. I just love this movie and soundtrack. Definitely helped win me over onto the Gosling Team.

What a beautiful package. For whatever reason I hadn’t owned a copy of this record on wax. Glad I was able to grab one of these babies.

#joshritter Joy To You Baby 7” on top of our badass Evil Eye turntable slipmats. I’m in love. And yes, I’ll be selling these on your and online starting next week. Also, listening to this song at 33RPM sounds like Tom Waits is covering it.
Even I had to buy my copy of The Beast in Its Tracks on deluxe vinyl. Clear wax, limited to 1000 copies, hand numbered, comes with a bonus 7” featuring 2 non-album B-sides, a copy of of the album on CD, and a book of lyrics written in Josh’s handwriting (lyric books are “while supplies last”).
Looks like Newbury Comics sold out of their stock. But, some stock was distributed to local record stores all over the US.

Might as well get in on today’s excitement. Weekend mail: Fall Out Boy - From Under The Cork Tree - Hot Topic 2013 Reissue: Maroon /1500. I already own an OG copy of this record. But it doesn’t have all the bonus tracks. So I basically bought this for “The Music Or The Misery” and “Snitches and Talkers…” SO excited that they’re back. New song rips. Hopefully I can see em play a show. Last time I saw FOB play was the week before this album came out. Oh god - that was 8 years ago!
