After that it got colder, the world got quiet,
It was never quite day or quite night.
And the sea turned the color of sky turned the color
Of sea turned the color of ice.
‘Til at last all around us was fastness,
One vast glassy desert of arsenic white.

Home from Alaska. Still going through the mountains of photos that just might rival those seen in the pictures above. More soon. I’m just happy to be warm. But wow, what an incredible adventure.

Alaska Day 2: Talkeetna.

Saw sled dogs and a baby moose on the way up here. In 30 minutes we’re taking a private plane to check out Mount McKinley and the surrounding valley.
