I asked Brian to tell us a little about himself for those that do not know him here it goes.
Hello! I’m Brian. I live in Portland, OR by way of Charlottesville, VA with my lovely fiancée, our two cats, and my ridiculous record collection. I’ve been touring for about 5 1/2 years now and currently…
Hey everyone! Come see how good I look!
- Sennheiser 595’s
- Russian Circles Empros leak
- sliced honey crisp apple + Nutella
Yes. I made a snack to sit down and enjoy this album. My vinyl copy of this shipped today. I feel no guilt about downloading a leak or about covering fruit in Nutella.
Here’s 6 studio tracks and 2 live tracks from Josh Ritter, for free. For anyone reading who might not be familiar with his body of work. This is earnest, beautiful songwriting that you need to hear atleast once. Josh deserves all the fans and success in the world.
You’ll be back for more. Enjoy.
Click the link to go to his tumblr. He’s an absolutely incredible, highly respected Portland artist who throws down at Scapegoat Tattoo (along with Ryan Mason - both of which you’ve seen all over fuckyeahtattoos). He’s done one of mine and two of Brian’s tattoos and we’re both madly in love with the work he does. Neither of us can wait to get more done by this man.
Bonus: His website has more of his work posted than his tumblr - including my tattoo, if you can find it ;)
Hardcore music with samples from Carl Sagan’s Cosmos? I am in love. Hopefully Alex puts out some lyrics soon.
Awesome! Kevin is an incredible and prolific songwriter, much like Josh. Be sure to check out some of his other albums. Brother’s Blood is a a great album featuring his backing band, The God Damn Band. But every one of his previous albums has some perfect songs to offer. It doesn’t hurt that I’ve seen him perform with some other great bands: Thrice, Dead Confederate, and Manchester Orchestra.
The Royal City Band and crew are all super talented people who I love dearly. They make my job seem less like work, more like something I look forward to doing. It’s rare to find a group of people (especially a touring band) with no inner conflict between them and I consider myself extremely lucky to continue working for and with them.
